WHY NOT THE BEST?

February 25, 2025 by Charles Carner

The best.
The undisputed champion.
The king of the hill.
Optimus Maximus.

Humanity has always strived for excellence, and tipped its cap to the best. America is no different. In fact, the phrase “American exceptionalism” has been acknowledged worldwide for more than a century. One of our greatest military leaders – some say, “the best” – famously said, “Americans love a winner, and will not tolerate a loser.”

Americans are constantly seeking better ways to do things. Innovation is in our DNA. When it comes to water management – particularly in an arid and populous state like California – best practices are vitally important, keenly pursued, and admiringly celebrated.

California boasts some of the most advanced and effective water management institutions in the world. The Orange County Water District regularly receives awards for its programs, like the renowned Groundwater Replenishment System. Irvine Ranch Water District is another outstanding example, with its applauded water banking and recycling. The Friant Water Authority manages its reservoirs and canals with the latest technology, to avoid negative impacts from floods and droughts.

When it comes to water well development and rehabilitation, WellJet® (US Patent No. 8,312,930 B1) is proud to provide the most powerful tool in the arsenal: high-pressure hydrojetting that removes surface encrustation, opens plugged perforations, and delivers energy into the gravel pack and near-wellbore formation to break down harmful deposits that impede free water flow.

Working on thousands of wells around the world over the past fifteen years, WellJet® has used nothing but water, pressure, and its proprietary technology to restore flow, improve efficiency, lower costs, reduce energy consumption, shrink the carbon footprint, and extend the working lifespan of vital groundwater infrastructure.

Thoroughly documented examples abound:

At Corcoran Irrigation District, WellJet® helped revitalize the #10 well, which had been abandoned for several years – restoring flow not seen in three decades.

For the Los Angeles Department of Water & Power, WellJet® broke down tenacious deposits that had resisted every type of mechanical and chemical treatment to redevelop the Van Norman wells, improving well efficiency over 200%.

In Delano, WellJet® improved output in Well #22 by 500%. In Ventura County, a 20-year-old river well: 450% improvement in efficiency over pre-rehab performance – and even 50% better than when the well was new. In Hawaii, a 35-year-old, 2,000’ deep well with hard mineralized deposits: 43% improvement in specific capacity from when the well was new.

In Jordan, WellJet® restored an entire 21-well field, recovering performance and efficiency exceeding that when the wells were installed 25 years before. An alfalfa ranch in Nye County, NV – specific capacity improved 385%. A vegetable ranch in Santa Barbara – efficiency increased 450%.

Armela Results

WellJet® inventor Jeffrey B. Glass is not content to rest on these impressive laurels; he’s hard at work on the next generation of WellJet® tools, which will provide even more downhole energy – in half the time.

Nothing is more important than providing fresh water to grow our food and quench the thirst of our people. At WellJet®, we are dedicated to fulfilling that mission, providing that water, in the best way possible.

The best. It’s what we are. And continue to strive to be. So when it comes to your wells, why not choose the best? Choose WellJet®.
